Personal views on Edison's scandal
I never want to involve in this scandal.
I never want to hear or talk about the scandal, until my mum told me just now that Edison quits the entertainment world.
And I never and has no interest in seeing those pictures.
Why the whole world (not really the whole world, only Hong Kong and maybe some part of Asia) making fuss about those pictures?
I mean, look at Paris Hilton.
I know that Asian culture is different from Western culture.
And I don't mean to tell to the world to follow Paris Hilton's footstep.
I don't know whether those pictures or videos were intended to be shown to the public.
But let says, (generally) it was leaked out. Is it wrong to tape your own sex video?
Or is it wrong to take sex photos of yourself and your partner?
I don't dare to say this is wrong. Coz this suppose to be personal.
I can only say it is HIS carelessness in handling HIS PERSONAL photos which resulted into THIS CHAOS.
I swear upon Manchester United (anyone knows me will know how important it is to me)that I am not a fan of him. I have lil interest on Chinese entertainment.
Another mistake is that he is born an Asian. Just imagine if he's just another Colin Farell (or whoever bad boy image)...I don't think the people will make a big deal out of it.
I'm just trying to voice out an objective opinion.
It's really sad to see how the public react. It as if Edison has just killed someone.
And it seems that everyone is pointing fingers at him.
One question here. What about the girls that involved? Why the focus is on the guy only?
Don't tell me they were forced or they don't know about him taking picture.
Both parties must be responsible for this. If one wrong, both are wrong too.
On the other hand, I have to agree on what he said about himself being a failure as role model.
If he intends to portray himself as a role model to the young ones, then yes he failed. But if all the while he doesn't have any intention of doing that, I guess he doesn't have to say that.
Who says every celebrities must be a role model?
Look, I always think that Edison portrays a bad boy image while Gillian from Twins is the cute, innocent and goody-goody type.
If based from this, I will hate her more than Edison because she turns out to be totally opposite of her image that she portrays.
Anyway, this is out of the context. Just a subjective view (coz I never like Twins).
Hmm.... do I miss out on anything?
Alright... my whole point is that everyone is making fuss about the scandal. In fact, too much and it's over the line.
And I've crossed my line too by talking bout this (As I said, I see nothing, hear nothing, talk nothing)
However, I want to make things clear that I am neither standing on anyone's side.
This is what I felt about this scandal.
I hope this over-rating scandal won't cause any tragedy to the involved parties.
Since one of them has admitted guilty, the heavy punishment should be reduced.
Let loose of the grip, people....
